Drop Arm/Drop Down Awnings

Bannette Awnings with side encapsulated side guides

Bannette awnings can be ordered with encapsulated side guides. A special high temperature welded zip allows the fabric to be encapsulated within the guide at all times while still providing limited movement when the wind gusts. Patented heavy duty PVC inserts act as movement absorbers preventing the fabric from tearing within the track unlike some less sophisticated systems. Choose from a wide range of Fabric or clear PVC. We recommend Solarveiw - a fabric which allows relatively unrestricted view through the screen from the inside and privacy from the outside. Solarveiw provides aesthetically a superior  screen to clear PVC which can mark relatively quickly.

Bannette Awnings come in two configurations, with or without arms.

The Drop Arm version is ideal for small window and balcony applications where internal shade and sun protection are the main requirements. The factory assembled arms are sprung to provide even tension on the fabric. Like the Deauville, the Bannette Drop Arm is controlled by a gearbox and removable crank handle but is easily motorised.

Bannette Drop Down Awnings without arms are commonly specified with a hard-wearing clear plastic PVC and are ideal for commercial and residential situations where you want to be protected from the weather but still wish to enjoy the view. Drop Down awnings without arms can only be operated using a gearbox and removable crank handle. Both types are able to be custom-made in a wide range of fabrics.
