HomePlus Rollergrilles & Rollershutters are a high quality product designed to you give you many years of dependable security, for your home or business.

MAINTENANCE:

HomePlus Rollergrilles and Rollershutters are designed to be virtually maintenance free, but this is influenced by their installation setting and environmental effects.

Regularly check the mechanical parts of Rollershutters or Rollergrilles and wires on any electrically driven units for visible damage. Internally installed Rollergrilles or Rollershutters should be maintained six monthly and external installations every three months. Discontinue use if there is any visible damage and fix the issue immediately.

Over time Rollergrilles and Rollershutters can get dirty, this does not reduce their usability but can impact on their appearance.
1 - Carefully clean any powder coated parts with a soft lint free cloth.
2 - Use a soft brush (non abrasive) and a mild household detergent solution to remove any stubborn marks.
3 - Rinse off with clean fresh water.
4 - Lubricate moving parts with an aerosol based lubricant such as Dry Glide or similar.

DO clean debris from the guide rails regularly
DO NOT use any solvents, alcohol or scouring agents on any powder coated parts.
DO NOT use any high pressure cleaners on any Rollergrille or Rollershutters.

POWDER COATED / ANODISED ALUMINIUM - CARE & MAINTENANCE

To comply with warranty requirements and to extend the effective life of anodised/powder coated finishes, very simple maintenance and regular visual inspections should be scheduled and undertaken.

MAINTENANCE:
In general, anodised or powder coated aluminium in urban areas should be cleaned every three months and every six months in rural areas. In industrial and marine environments (within 1km of the sea), monthly cold water washing as well as six monthly washes, with warm water & detergent, is necessary.

CLEANING:
1 - Carefully remove any loose deposits with a wet sponge.
2 - Wash down using a soft brush (non abrasive) and a mild household detergent solution to remove dust, salt, dirt and other deposits.
3 - Anodised finishes with greasy deposits or hard to remove grime, should be cleaned with a soft cloth dipped in white spirit, turpentine or kerosene, then wiped with a dry rag.
4 - Rinse off with lots of clean fresh water.

DO remove obvious deposits as they occur.
DO NOT use abrasive steel wool, scrapers, scouring liquids or powders to remove paint splashes - these will damage your anodised/powder coating.
DO NOT use aggressive solvents, thinners, petrol etc, on powder coating as these solvents will attack gloss levels and reduce its life expectancy.
DO NOT let any solvents used on anodised finishes come in contact with any rubber components as they can degrade them.
DO NOT expose your anodised/powder coatings to excessive heat, heaters or hot air guns - these may damage the coating.
