Enjoy Outside Spaces All Year Round with Glaslide Frameless Glass Sliding Doors

3 June 2022 by Dan Rawling

New Zealand is a beautiful place and many Kiwis want to take advantage of this by spending as much time outside as possible. As a result, outdoor spaces are increasingly being looked at for greater useability and flexibility, New Zealand has to deal with changeable weather and frequent cool winds which interferes with this. So, our local designers have been focusing on creating even better weather protection for our Louvre roof systems, coming up with these stunning Glaslide® Glass Siding Doors for enclosing outdoor rooms. Their addition to a louvre roof is an ideal way to achieve greater weather protection whilst enabling greater useability of a comfortable outdoor room.

New Zealand has many different wind zones throughout the country and this has been factored into this NZ-designed and manufactured sliding door, enabling it to be a choice for many, even in traditionally exposed regions. Coming as double and triple track options, the easy foot-operated Glaslide® doors are available in Two, three, four or six-panel configurations which move seamlessly on 22mm low bottom tracks, automatically locking in place as they slide past each other. High-quality tandem nylon and stainless-steel rollers are used and all extrusion can be powder coated in a wide range of Dulux colours.

The glass panels come in 10mm, 12mm and 15mm thicknesses and a variety of sizes, with maximum widths and heights determined by the location’s wind zone. Additional design details such as 55mm glass panel overlap for additional wind or rain protection, and available options such as integrated LED lighting into the side or track guides ensure this will be a handsome addition to your location.
