Expert Help For Your New Wardrobe (Part 2)

In this second part of the wardrobe articles, we continue with expert advice on updating your wardrobe doors.

Stylish infill options for wardrobe doors are virtually unlimited, with an array of colours and patterns to choose from in acrylic and toughened glass infills, including translucent finishes.  These can then be combined with a variety of mid rails and a choice of frame colours. Once again this is where Robin’s experience, collections of wardrobe images and door infill samples are invaluable for clients design ideas.

The first consideration for choosing the best wardrobe is looking at how much space is available and how much access there is to the wardrobe interior. For example, solid infills are recommended for smaller or narrow spaces, to hide away clothes that may be pressing closely to the doors (rather than see through panels).   Another of Robin’s recommendations is choosing a silver powder coat finish for frames on mirrored wardrobe doors.  Combined with the silver mirror the completed door looks stunning with a cohesive and modern finish. Other frame options are available to compliment the clients existing decor.

The 350 or 4200 series doors are popular wardrobe doors, with a choice of stylish panel infills and all fixings neatly hidden away. A 4200 series door incorporates the handle into the end frame rail and is especially popular because of this clean, unobstructed finish. In fact, the majority of clients choose a reversed handle frame fitted to the back of the wardrobe door, for the ultimate in sleek finishes. Wardrobe doors from the 350 series are popular for the different options they offer, including a range of handles to accessorise the finished door.

Popular configurations for 3 door panels on larger wardrobe spaces are 2 panelled doors and 1 mirrored door. Fitted to a triple running track, all the doors move separately on their individual tracks so doors can be moved to any position required.  This is particularly useful on wardrobes that are shared, for moving the mirrored door to the desired position. Double doors, where one door is fitted with a mirror panel are also very popular.

With wardrobe experts like Robin having so many nuggets of knowledge they are willing to share, we really recommend you work with one of the HomePlus experts, to get the perfect wardrobe you really want.
